Legato Playing is another technique that gives a lot of fluid effect
to your playing. I use to play legato patterns together with other techniques,
I mean, it is rare that I start to play a legato phrase from the start to the
end of a solo but during some alternate or sweeping passages I use to play
legato to
give more fluent effect and to make the result more various.
The importance of a good legato playing is to have
a perfect left hand to play hammer on and pull off at the same volume if you
play alternate, and the right hand should palm mute the strings you don't play
to have not background noise. In this example you can pick each first note of
new string or you can play it with a hammer on to improve your first left
hand finger.
