    Hi fellow guitarists! For the next couple of lessons I will be focusing on the most economical way of picking-economy picking. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this technique I'll review the basics- economy picking is part alternate picking and part sweep picking, so even though every note is picked your actual picking hand motion is rapidly reduced, thus increasing speed and accuracy! This months examples are all in the key of G Ionian and are fairly straightforward just to get you used to the idea, but next month we'll take a look at some 3 octave arpeggios and piano runs. enjoy!
